Some breaking news for BBW fans: There’s an update on the APBA web site (can I say again how much I like that the APBA Company’s website is being updated?) on APBA Baseball 5.75.
A release version of APBA Baseball 5.75 is being prepared. This version will be shared with the test team for 30 days of testing. While testing continues, documentation preparation has begun and will be available as a separate PDF download.
The post includes five screenshots including the one above.
Okay, I’m not an APBA computer game player so I’d like comments from those of you who are. How many of you are anxious to try this out??
thanks to Phil Grabar for letting us know on Facebook.
Will I have to run it in Windows XP emulation mode, or will it run on Vista as is?
Excellent step in the right direction by incorporating APBA’s cards in the interface of the game. Next, I would like to see identical version of the cards on BBW (the same you would receive if you bought the board game) and dice rolls and charts. The more you can make BBW like the APBA master game the better.
Seeing the card in Advanced Draft is a nice addition – particularly for those of us in hybrid leagues, who no longer purchase the cards. However, I have no desire for BBW to display the card or dice rolls or boards. If I wanted to see that, I would have continued to play the board game. Miller Associates had the right idea to build upon the Master Game but not be limited by it.
Getting it to work on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine is the best news.
