Wells duo make the APBA Hall

Congratulations to the new APBA Hall of Famers, the father-son duo of Greg and Brian Wells!  They were inducted at this weekend’s national APBA Convention in Atlanta.

Kevin Cluff made the official announcement on the APBA Between the Lines forum:

A hearty congratulations to Brian and Greg Wells who were both inducted into the APBA Hall of Fame tonight in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Brian Wells is a two time APBA tournament winner who still holds the record for the youngest tournament winner.   His article on selecting APBA teams for the tournaments has been published on the APBA company website.

Greg Wells is considered an APBA Football game guru who wrote for the APBA Journal for many years.  Also a baseball guy, Greg was in the CMBA league for many years, and like his son has attended all the conventions and played in the tournaments since at least 2002.

Each of these fine men represent APBA nation well.  Recognition for each of them is more than deserving.  I was proud to be there to witness it!

There’s also an interview of Brian on APBA Football Club’s YouTube channel:

Congrats to both Brian and Greg!  Hope everyone at the convention is having a great time!

I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
