Craig Small’s new project: The TGA Tour using APBA Golf

tga

Think of this as an APBA League for Golf.

Craig Small is spearheading an ambitious project involving the APBA Golf Game.  It’s an interactive tournament which will include APBA players from everywhere using different pro golfers and courses.  Craig is calling it the Tabletop Golf Association Tour or TGA Tour for short.

Craig is looking for the TGA to “draft” golfers for the Tour.  So far, he’s gotten a good response to his idea and the initial draft is happening tonight (April 4).  If you’re interested, don’t worry.  Craig says there’s still spots left in the TGA.  You can start by following the TGA Tour on Facebook.  Craig welcomes potential members or if you want, you can just follow the progress as a fan on the fairway.

I’m following this with a bit of interest.  I haven’t seen anything like this so I’d like to see it succeed.  There seems to be a core group of members who are involved in the decision making and that’s always a good thing.

Good luck to Craig and the rest of the TGA Tour!!

  1. Dear Craig,

Hope all is well. Using 24 of my top golfers (which vary during the tournaments) I have played out 9 tournaments this year using the APBA golf for windows. Tiger Woods-2005 has won
three, Tom Watson-1985 has won 2,Greg Norman (aj94) has won 2. Mickleson 2006 and Braid atg2 also have won. I understand you have set up tournaments and played them. Maybe we can get together on facebook

  2. Dear Craig,

In addition to what I wrote earlier. My top 2 golfers were Hagen, and Woods 2005 since each of these golfers made all 9 cuts. Which is very tough to do in the field that is playing each tournament. After that my number 3 would be Watson of 85. And then Norman AJ94. Followed by Little, Ferrier, Mickleson 2006, Oosthuizen 2010. Kaymer 2010, and Palmer 72. These numbers could change in the future since golfers like Jones and Hogan and Nicklaus had kept missing about half the cuts in the tournaments.
