John Roberts posted this beauty on Facebook a few days ago.  This reprint of Matt Herges 2001 card has something rather critical missing.  Why yes, I believe a pitching grade is in order.

imageFor what it’s worth, those in on the discussion think Herges should get a B* for his work with the LA Dodgers.

Herges is actually a local boy, growing up in Champaign-Urbana.  He pitched for the Champaign Centennial Chargers high school team.  My buddy Brando drafted him for his Illowa APBA League team and always referred to him as “homeboy”.

Well, speaking of Brando, he just showed up to play some APBA…

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
