Catcher Chad Kreuter won’t turn many heads with his 1989 APBA card. He was in his sophomore year with the Texas Rangers when he batted .152 with 5 homers in 158 at-bats. He did manage to walk 27 times though.
Despite his low playing time for the Rangers, Kreuter also led the league with 21 passed balls for year. His arm was less than effective too. He let 14 of 64 base runners steal on him.

Once you get past one of his two zeros, C.K. has a plenty of ones in his second column. He has 17 out there. He also has a lot of sevens though. Nine to be exact.
I’ve mentioned this before but with players with low averages, APBA tends to take the 14s away from the normal spots and put them in the usual hit dice rolls. This is the case with Kreuter. Though he has a decent number of 14s (five), you don’t see one at 13. Instead, you find them at 15, 25, and 31. Almost always, the 45-14 remains untouched however.

Chad Kreuter made a career out of being a backup catcher for seven different teams. He lasted for sixteen seasons (1988-2003) in the majors but only twice did he have over 300 at-bats in a season.
