The APBA Blog visits This Week in APBA show- Jan. 25 8pm EST

TWIA host John Asalon

I want to encourage everyone to tune in this Thursday (Jan.25th) at 8pm EST on This Week in APBA.  Why?  I am honored to be a guest on John Asalon’s show this week.

[Update: The show is archived here if you wish to listen to it. ]

This show should be fun.  While The APBA Blog is independently run from the company itself, my mission for my website was to keep a positive, fan-focused site.  I’d like to see this episode with this kind of content.  Two guys talking about the game they love.

I will have big shoes to fill.  John’s guest last week on TWIA was Skeet Carr who has worked for the APBA Company for 50 years.  I tuned in live for most of the show and it is definitely worth a listen.  Skeet is one of the APBA legends. If you haven’t had a chance to hear the show, check it out.

While you can listen to it at anytime after it is posted, listening to it live allows you to chat with others listening live.  You can also post questions for the guest or John.  The whole interactive interface is quite engaging.

Here is the link for This Week in APBA.  Once the “LIVE” appears you know you are listening to a live show.  Stop on by on Thursday evening at 8pm EST (7pm CT).

I’d love to see you all there!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as the BBW Boys of Summer APBA League since 2014. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

  1. He does a good show. I even listen to the ones about the computer game and APBA Go even though I’m strictly an out of the box basic game C & D guy.

  2. Hi Tom,

Didn’t get to listen to it live, but just caught it this afternoon. I was laughing when you were trying to remember which Giant team I used for the Chicago championship and I found myself shouting 1905, 1905!!! Thankfully you got it right.

I guess sometimes I forget how much you do to maintain this site. So thank you once again for giving us this forum.

  3. Great show I will continue to fallow this show.its great to hear about apba and fans
