Get a sneak peek at 2019 with APBA GO

No doubt many of you baseball fans are watching or following Game 7 of the World Series, right now. In case you aren’t aware, APBA has made the 2019 Washington Nationals and Houston Astros available for free via their online platform, APBA GO.

You do not need to pay to register for APBA GO and once you do, the two teams are available to play. You can also view the cards. APBA hopes that you will eventually purchase the full season, of course. It a good marketing move by them.

I took a quick look and was pleasantly surprised that there weren’t too many oddities among the hitters’ cards. You should check out the pitching grades, though. Houston will have a hard time reproducing their 107 wins with the bullpen doled out to them by APBA.

On another note, The APBA Blog will commence with its 2nd Annual Pitching Grade Challenge very soon!

You of course won’t see any Astros or Nationals pitchers in this year’s contest but I’ve already selected a tentative list of 20 pitchers whom you will guess the grades. The APBA GO file will become available at the end of the month so I plan to release the Challenge by this weekend!

In the meantime, you can check out the results of last year’s Challenge which Jesse Elicker won by guessing 19 out of 20 correct.

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
