In my occasional correspondence with APBA’s John Herson, we sometimes talk about the weather. This time around though, he’s the one suffering the cold and snow along with everyone else in the Atlanta area.
As per the APBA newsletter, the 2024 card set will be ready to order after workday January 9th.
From the newsletter:
The 2024 baseball season baseball card set and XC set will be added to the store at the close of business tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th.
There are a few catches though and it seems Mother Nature is destined to play a role.
Weather forecast for Atlanta for Friday January 10th.
Starting early Friday morning, we are forecasted to get 7 to 8 inches of snow. As well as the results of major snow events earlier this week in other parts of the country especially the midwest, these weather events will reduce the efficiency and increase time line for postal and UPS deliveries.
Orders will be processed in the order received. If the forecast is accurate, we will not process orders until Saturday afternoon at the earliest.
Indeed, this is a switch. Here in central Illinois we are at the northern edge of the storm and won’t see much precipitation. Atlanta and much of the further south will experience some nasty weather.
Please be understanding when inquiring about your order. In fact, there won’t be a lot the APBA Company can do while orders are backed up. I know we all want our card sets but they will come.
And for those affected by the weather systems, please be careful!
