Stillwell’s Otters are once again champs in OAPBA

Rod Caborn sent in an update on the Orlando APBA Association. His Orlando APBA Association 2024 Yearbook is comparable with his past league’s documentation. If it happened, it’s in there somewhere.

And stop me if you’ve heard this before. Jonathan Stillwell won the OAPBA championship again with a 54-26 record. In the second half, his Otters went an amazing 32-8. Stillwell is a repeat champion and has won five titles since he joined in 2011.

Honorable mention to Craig Dolan whose Asian Tsunamis took the first half with a 25-15 record. Stillwell defeated Dolan in ‘dramatic’ seven-game World Series.

In OAPBA’s 37th year of existence, Juan Soto earned the MVP award and Zac Gallen came home with the Cy Young award.

But you can read all about it in Rod’s fantastically-written yearbook about the 2024 OAPBA season. I highly recommend it. I especially enjoyed reading about the OAPBA all-time leaders!

thanks, Rod!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
