Puig goes number one in RCMBA

The APBA league draft reports keep comin’ in.  John Briggs from the Roberto Clemente Memorial Baseball Association sends us a summary of the RCMBA’s draft last weekend:

The RCMBA held it’s annual free agent draft on February 1st. Yasiel Puig was the first selection followed by Jose Fernandez and Wil Myers.

We have only carded players in our draft with all first year carded players available along with assorted veterans who weren’t worth very much last year.

The entire draft is posted here.

Here’s a quick look at the first round:

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
