Spilling my guts to Jim Fraasch

tom_nelshoppen_playing_apbaJim Fraasch asked me recently if I would be the interview subject of an article on his new blog, Jim’s APBA Barn.  I agreed right away but as it turned out I’m especially glad he asked.

Jim asked some good questions and in taking the time to formulate the answers, I really thought back to my APBA past and present.  Once I started writing, it kept flowing.  I showed my wife the final product before submitting it to Jim.  It turns out even she learned a thing or two about my past life.

Thomas Nelshoppen

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
