Occasionally, relief pitchers get some really juicy cards for the few at-bats they accrue. There are plenty of examples of these among 1970s and early 1980s relief pitchers since they lasted more than an inning an appearance.
Mustachioed Enrique Romo of 1980 is such an example. Aside from putting in a decent performance for the Pirates (5-5, 3.27, 11 saves), he helped his team with the bat. He went 5 for 11 with a homerun with 4 rbis and two walks in 1980.

If I were carding Romo, I would have given him three 1s but APBA gave him just two. Fair enough. He then gets seven 7s all the way out to 51. He also received five 14s which gives him quite a nice card that will make you think twice about pinch hitting.
Fun numbers: 11-1, 51-7, 26-14
Romo wasn’t the save leader for the Bucs in 1980. That distinction goes to bespectacled Kent Tekulve who had 21 that year.
