Ryan Morrison nominated this Ryan Ludwick card from 2008 for Monster Monday.  In his second full year with the Cardinals, Ludwick played 152 games and bashed out 37 homers and found the gap 40 times.  He his the century mark in runs (104) and rbis (113) while slugging .591.

In 617 plate appearances, he walked 62 times but whiffed 146 times as well.

This is no Babe Ruth’s card but anything with a 44 power number especially in the post steroid era is worthy of mention.

I should dig up the card of Ludwick’s teammate in 2008, Albert Pujols.  Albert hit .357 with 37 homers that same year.

Unlike Ludwick, Pujols changed leagues and lost power.  He’s gone now.  I’m not bitter.
