Jason Giambi from 2011 maybe not be a Monster Card but he does excel in one category. The interesting thing is you may have to look closely to spot it.
At first glance, it looks like part-time player Giambi just has a 1-1-0-0-0. But count the second column 1s. He has twelve of them. Put those twelve 1s behind the three 0s and that pretty much equates another single column 1 in my book.
It’s interesting that APBA cardmakers didn’t just give him three ones and two 0s (and a second column full of 6s and singles). In some ways, I’m glad they didn’t though, part timer or no.

Of course, Jason Giambi card numbers are a result of his productive part-timing stint with Colorado. He hit 13 homers in only 131 at-bats with 32 rbis. Of his 13 homers in 2011, three of them came in one game.
