Too bad some of the talents of Minnesota Twins teammates Harmon Killebrew and Tony Olivia didn’t rub off on rookie Joe McCabe in 1964. In 19 at-bats, he could only muster three singles and a run scored.

McCabe’s ‘64 card is about what you would expect He has hit numbers 7-7-8-8-8-9-9 which gives him a 25-13.
Though he was errorless in his short time out, he doesn’t help in the field either with a C-5 rating.

Born in Indianapolis, McCabe was a Big Ten baseball player having honed his skills for the Purdue Boilermakers.
McCabe did only slightly better in his second and final year in the majors. He batted .185 in 27 plate appearances though he did hit a homerun for the Senators.
