Terrible Card Tuesday: 1977 Barry Foote

This 1977 Barry Foote card is pretty typical of his career with one very glaring exception.  He’s got a lot more 24s!

Footie hit into seven deepees in just 81 at-bats for the Expos and the Phillies in 1977. In fact, six of those double plays came in his 32 at-bats with the Phils.

  1. I am taking the ’77 Phillies to the Michigan tournament on March 5. Mr. Foote will not make the 20 man roster. The Phillies have Bob Boone and Tim McCarver behind the plate so he is not needed even as a defensive sub.
