That dang 12

Just a real quick note on the 12.  It seems to be on the 24 this year.  Which, I guess is not too bad a place for it.  It’s better than a “good” number like 64 or worse, 42.  And at least it’s not on an automatic number like 65 or I don’t know… 29.  Geez, I was calling 1-3 on that number all year.

I hear people every so often complain about APBA moving the 12 around the APBA card.  I guess their argument is that it’s easier to remember on one number and sometimes it resides on some nice dice rolls.

Not me.  Maybe I’m a traditionalist but I think it’s a APBA tradition and “part of the fun” and anticipation of where the company will place it.  Judging by the poll (out of 18 responses, everyone single voter likes it the way it is), you agree.

I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

  1. You made some good points there. I did a search on the topic and found most people will agree with your blog.

  2. Maybe you could make changes to the webpage subject That dang 12 | The APBA Blog to more generic for your blog post you make. I loved the the writing however.
