Weird Card Wednesday: 1967 Dave Johnson

Reader Bob Haider presents a card published in 2012 which belongs to Dave Johnson of the Baltimore Orioles.  Yes, the same Davey Johnson who hit 43 dingers in 1973.

This card looks pretty standard at first glance.  However after a couple more moments, something doesn’t look right.  There is the out-of-place 35-8 for the .247 hitter.  Plus a 16-14.  Finally, Johnson was given an odd 41-33 which doesn’t seem right.

It is most likely a printing error which affected the sixth and seventh rows of the card.  This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an error on the 2012 publishing run.  Scott Fennessy pointed out the duplicate 12 on 1974 Steve Yeager which was also published that year.

Thanks, Bob!
