Weird Card Wednesday: 2014 Ehire Adrianza

This 2014 card is from Justin Wray.

The card is not much to look at but Ehire Adrianza is doing pretty well to be playing three infield positions at the age of 85.

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

3 Comments:

  1. Juan Ponce de León was looking in the wrong place. Senor Adrianza must have found it in Venezuela.

  2. Rather than a misprint on the age of this dude, I am much more concerned that APBA was ignorant enough to give Jhonny Peralta SS-9 for the 2013 ML season.

I wonder what wonderful surprises are in store for us when the disc comes out.

  3. Don,

Given the Tiger’s .308 babip and .987 team fielding pct and only 76 Errors, what rating would you have given Peralta and his 4 errors at SS? The SS-9 doesn’t seem too outlandish on a team that didn’t commit many errors yet surrendered a next to last league bad batting average on balls in play.
