Football ’11 set will be delayed due to printer errors

A printing snafu means that the 2011 APBA Football Cards will be delayed a little this year.

From the APBA Company website:

“Yesterday afternoon the printer’s van arrived. We first unloaded the American Conference sets, then the National Conference, then the playoff team sets and lastly the XFs. As I was walking back into the office to charge out the pre-orders, one of the guys called me back to look at a set he had opened. Each card was wrong–the first three columns had been printed three times!! In other words, dice rolls 11, 31 and 51 were the same and so on. We then opened a box in each case.  Same result!! The cards were printed wrong…”

John Herson has ordered a new (hopefully correct) print run of the cards and will keep APBA fans updated via the website.

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

  1. I suppose you could always pretend the players have been locked out as an excuse for the delay. The ultimate 2011 football simulation.
