The APBA Company came out with their newsletter yesterday. Golf fans should take note. The highlight article features a free download of the 2012 Ryder Cup golf set. This set includes 24 golfers who are participating this year.
Here is the link to download the card set in pdf form. The card set will be available later for $4 for those who like the feel of “real” cards in their hands.
The 2011-2012 Hockey set is now available. For those who might be interested, you can check the rosters out here.
On to Baseball…
The 1903 season will be released next week at a cost of $30. The set will include 368 players plus a lineup card. Here’s the roster for the deadball fans to check out.
At the end of the MLB season, APBA will start taking pre-orders for the 2012 baseball card set. The base set of 900 players (30 per team) will be $60. There will also be an XC set available as well as a Master Game version. According to the newsletter, “the 2012 season cards will be available in January 2013.”
Now, I know John Herson knows his business better than anyone and plans his printing schedule far in advance but I’ve had one person tell me that a December release would make sense for Christmas. Maybe this person just had his hopes up for a certain present under the tree.
Finally, there is NOT a release date for the delayed 2011 Football set yet but APBA says they “expect to start shipping within the next two weeks.”.
If you’re not on APBA Company’s email list and wish to receive their periodic newsletters, just fill in your email address at their website and click subscribe. The email load is pretty light and it does keep you up to date on the new products.
