The Chicagoland APBA World Series Tournament is just one week away! I’m so ready for this to happen!
Organizer Jim Saska just sent out info on tournament format for the upcoming tourney which starts at 9am on November 16th at the Woodstock, Illinois Public Library.

For those teams in the division with six games, each team will play each other once and then will be seeded for its sixth game. The top team in each division will make the playoffs with the top seed getting a first round bye.
A catered lunch will be provided for $6. (Italian Beef sandwiches, chips, dessert). Please email me and let me know if you are interested. Also, please bring your own beverages (no alcohol is allowed).
See you next Saturday @ 9am at the Woodstock Library.
66’s,
Jim Saska
Looking at the matchups, I’m thrilled that I’ll get to roll dem bones with Scott Fennessy who writes for this blog. He’s been doing that for so long but as funny as it sounds, I’ve never met him person. I AM sorely disappointed that he chose the 1905 New York Giants over the 1905 Cubs, though (just kidding, Scott!).
We are looking at some tough team here. I am happy I’m not stuck in the Cobb Division with the 1911 A’s, 1930 A’s, 1959 Braves, and the 1970 Orioles. All of those teams look tough.
For more info on the tournament, here are the tourney rules. Facebook members can join the Tournament event and join the discussion.
I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend and playing some good, fun APBA!
