Flashback Friday: Bonds’ 600th IAL HR in 2004

This was the game in 2004 that the Northside Hitmen’s Barry Bonds hit his 600th homer in the Illowa APBA League.

This was pretty much at the pinnacle of Chuck Lucas’ Hitmen dynasty.  With players like Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez, Roberto Alomar, and Carlos Delgado, the opponents’ were shaking in their boots at every roll.

When Raul Mondesi is your weak point in your lineup, you got it good.

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
