Geoff Schmitt’s Tournaments using Golf for Windows

Geoff Schmitt contacted me to let us know about his Golf Tournament he’s doing using APBA Golf for Windows

This is a first and I’m intrigued… Golf for Windows.  Here is the relevant data from Geoff:

Geoff tells us a little bit about his project :

“The players I use are from the all time greats, the 1972, 1985 and 2010 groups as well as the modern set of golfers. I have completed 3 major tournaments as well as 3 minor tournaments. plus one minor tournament done by the APBA box and cardboard courses.”

I’d like to hear an update in the future on how the tournament is going and maybe even a review of the Golf for Windows game.  :)

thanks, Geoff!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

3 Comments:

  1. I have completed 3 tournaments using 171 golfers with Casper, Jones and Nicklaus winning those tournaments. I have started another one and afterwards will take the top ten percent with ties from the 4 tournaments and play a tournament of champions. I am trying to find a different course for this.
