RCMBA draft: Bryce Harper again

home21The draft results are rolling in.  One day after I heard from Rod Caborn about OAPBA’s draft, John Briggs emailed me to report on the Roberto Clemente Memorial Baseball Association’s 2013 draft.

One thing is similar off the bat.  Bryce Harper went #1 in both drafts.

John says:

The RCMBA draft was held Feb 2nd. The top five picks were 1-Bryce Harper, 2- Manny Machado, 3- Josh Rutledge, 4- Matt Moore, 5- Kris Medlen. The entire draft of 148 players was completed in 3hrs & 15 minutes.

Five of the managers were at the Holiday Inn in Lancaster while the other ten joined in via an AOL chatroom. The entire draft may be viewed at http://www.rcmba.com/draft/draft2013.htm. If you wish you can also view all of our drafts since 1991 by clicking the FREE AGENT INDEX near the top of the page.

So far, it looks like Harper is making a good showing in APBA drafts.  Thanks for the update, John!

I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
