LDBA seeking a skipper

Another long time league is looking for a new manager. I wrote recently that the North East League was taking applications for a skipper. Now, Neil Leininger has contacted me and told me his Lame Duck Baseball Association is looking to fill a position. The LDBA has been around for 40 years so there is a lot of history there. Here is a link to their website.

Here are the details from Neil:

Hey Thomas, we currently have an opening in the LDBA. We are about to start our 40th season. We are a Basic game with modifications.

The draft is in March. We have 20 teams, and you can keep up to 40 + 3 uncarded. The available franchise is in very good shape. Contreras, DeJong, Castellanos, Choo, Conforto, Gallo, and Renfroe with a strong starting rotation headlined by Ryu, Bieber, German, Lucchesi, and Wainwright. The also would have the 6th pick in the upcoming draft.

If you could put out the good word about the opening I’m sure the blog would get us a bite or 2.

If you’re interested, leave a comment or contact me directly and I’ll make sure Neil hears about it.

Good luck, LDBA!!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
