Chris Davis takes MWBL Christmas Classic Homerun Derby

Christmas Classic (1)On Christmas Day, the Mid-West Baseball League held their annual Christmas Classic Homerun Derby.  This year, it was held in Mesa, Arizona.  This year’s winner was the Tempe Tempers Chris Davis with 10 homers with Edwin Encarnacion of the Tijuana Bottle Rockets right behind him with 8 dingers.

Mike Trout only had four homeruns but he gets credit for the longest tater.  He hit one that went 499 feet.  Thanks to that shot, his average of 444 feet was the highest of the twelve competitors.

Here is the entire wrap up on the Christmas Classic Homerun Derby.  Thanks to Stray Corrado for passing this on.  Great tradition you guys have going on!
