IAL All-Star Game goes to the City Boys

This photo all about why I like our league All-Star Games…

…all eyes are on the dice as they come out of cup.

The people you see are the newly-named City Boys Division (formerly East Division) of the Illowa APBA League.  The roller is Mike Raisanen who was helping us out on Saturday.  The ‘Boys’ won this year winning 3-1 over us Country Gents.  I did a quick write up over at the IAL website on the game itself.  Congrats to the City Boys, MVP Elvis Andrus and Division Manager Rob Moore!

Aside from the All-Star Game, we got in some regular season games in, too.  Most of us played our requisite 30 interdivision games this weekend and a few of us even played an extra 9-game series as well.  That meant for some late nights for a couple of us.

Thanks to Commish Mike for keeping us in order and to Tedd M for arranging the accommodations.

I posted a few photos from the weekend at The APBA Blog Facebook page and a whole lot more at the Illowa APBA League photo gallery

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
