Congrats & hats off to all!!!
Congrats to you (again), Teddy. A 3-way tie for MOY. Such parity. :)
Tomo Ohka is off the hook.
Other than that, I think the ILLOWA membership did OK with the voting.
DonS.
It was not a good year for Cy Young candidates. The guy with the best ERA could only manage 12 wins!
My objection is not to Cy Young. I voted for Buehrle. Mark deserved it.
My objection is voting for Rob Garnder (or whatever his first name is) for Fireman of the Year.
If we’re even TRYING to “play baseball,” the man is a minor league pitcher that the Game Company made into an A. If this really is “just some dice game” with little consideration of realism, then it MIGHT be the right choice. I still think K-Rod was better for Marcus than Gardner was for Todd. But if you completely set aside realistic baseball, a guy COULD justify voting for Gardner.
At least Tomo Ohka was a MAJOR LEAGUE PLAYER.
That’s what I think.
Hanley Ramirez had a fine season, JRoll had a better one, IMHO, but that’s why we vote.
