OAPBA tidbits of fun

Rod Caborn from the league, the Orlando APBA Association says:

In addition to OAPBA’s usual lineup of current standings and series results, we’ve recently added a couple of new twists to the league Web site. Readers can now see the complete listing of all league no-hitters in the league’s history (25 seasons)  plus each individual team’s best and worst won-lost performances over the years.

Thought you might like seeing what we have added and sharing it with APBA Blog readers.

Thanks Rod!  Readers can find the list of the no-hitters in OAPBA history here.  That included a Randy Johnson nine-walk 3-2 affair as well as two perfect games by David Cone and Brad Radke.

Here are OAPBA’s best and worst performances.  What struck me is about this is that the impressive Platoon teams’ “worst” performance was 39-45.  Not bad.

thanks Rod!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
