It seems that this weekend is the big weekend for APBA baseball drafts. Our Illowa APBA League meets on Friday in Chicago suburbs for the postseason, draft and the start of the 2015 season.
But our league is not the only league drafting this weekend. Stray Corrado is getting ready for the Mid-West Baseball League’s draft on Saturday. His MWBL website is set up with online draft tracking and a Draft Day Chat Room. Sweet!
A special “good luck” goes out to my fellow Boys of Summer commish Shawn Baier who has the first pick in the MWBL draft.
Finally, Steve Stein reports that the Transcontinental Baseball League will be drafting on Saturday as well. Steve has his 2015 online draft grid set up as well.
As always, the TBL is not short on analysis (and over-analysis) during draft week. Various TBL members are somewhat talented in doing pre-draft write-ups and summaries. They are informative, well-written and not without a little humor.
The summaries are geared towards the teams in the TBL but those who in leagues drafting soon might glean some helpful information.
Nice work gentleman!
Good luck to all three leagues and any others that happen to be drafting!
Thanks Tom! I still can’t believe I won the Draft Lottery — The Crusaders will be a much improved team by 2017. I really enjoyed reading about the other leagues in this post, I checked out the TBL’s site, even though the site itself might need a face-lift, I was blown away by their TBL Annuals in which they put together an amazing (I want to say 70 page) report — Kudos to a job well done guys!
While I won’t be able to see the draft, I am 90% certain to be showing up for opening weekend. Just a few details to iron out. I am certain to get a solid update from the various managers.
TSL is drafting this weekend as well. You can follow along by following my team’s Twitter feed (@TarponsTSL) or by searching the hashtag #TSLDraft on Twitter.
