Mid-West Baseball League unveils new site

There’s no doubt, Stray Corrado has done the impossible.  He’s improved on perfection.

The much heralded update to his Mid-West Baseball League’s website has been unveiled and indeed, it is a site to behold.  When Stray told me he was going to redesign the site, I told him it would be hard to make it any better.  It was already one of best APBA League web presences out there.

The MWBL is quite unique not just because of its well-developed online presence but also because of its very advanced draft and “futures” structure.  I already knew that the MWBL is not for the faint of heart, casual, APBA baseball fan. You have to be serious and you have to know your stuff. One look at the manager application for the league and you can see that. One wrong answer and I’ll bet you could be weeded out as a candidate.  Just kidding, Stray!

The MWBL boasts Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com as one of its members.  The expert in minor league baseball even went as far to do a testimony to MWBL:

“As someone who spends all of his working time in and around the game of baseball, I can’t begin to express how impressed I’ve been with the MWBL since I joined the league. The owners in the league are the most informed and passionate baseball fans I’ve ever come across. Every year there are great improvements made to the league and the recently re-launched website takes things to a whole new level. I’m already excited for the 2013 season to begin!”

Anyway, I really encourage those who are in leagues and who are looking for online inspiration to check out the MWBL web site.

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

  1. Nice job, guys! (Might be stealing some ideas!)

  2. As a long time APBA player that created a face to face League 31 years ago I am amazed every day at the amount of work that Stray and crew puts into this League.

I was honored to be able to become a member midway through this past summer…..it’s like being in the Hall of Fame of APBA Baseball Leagues.
