Mike Bunch predicts 2013 APBA cards for the IAL

ial2010allstar 012Mike Bunch, the president of the Illowa APBA League, announced his annual predictions for the coming APBA baseball card set for our league.  He’s been doing this for years and I find his swami-style predictions on par with Bruce Norlander from the Between the Lines forum.

I’m posting them here if you want to take a look.  It includes predictions for hitters and pitchers.  Disclaimer: Mike does predictions for players in our league only.  That said, it’s a 10-team league with a good representation of the MLB.

Long story short:  hitting is down and pitching is up.  On a personal note, I’m glad my Twin City Thunderchickens are making a run for the 2013 playoffs.  It doesn’t look like we’ll have much of a chance next year.  Pujols is forecasted to have a relatively weak 1-5-6 and Markakis will have just two 0s if Mike is right.

Thanks Mike!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

  1. I like the way he gives the pitching grades in the basic game format instead of the master game like the others do. I could be wrong but I think more people play the basic game.
