A Tale of Two Replay Highlights

Just two replay events that readers sent in to me that were worthy of noting…

Jim Shaw simply wrote:

After 40 years of apba finally had a no hitter. Pedro Martinez!

When it’s your first APBA no-hitter in 40 years, it’s not just a statistical highlight but a personal accomplishment.  Congrats, Jim!!

And my buddy John “Brando” Brandeberry who just started a 1930 replay, emailed this:

April 21, 1930 replay

Manush 0-2  4 rbi

3 SF and a ground out runner on third

I love weird anomalies like that in a box score!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
