For those who were following my stat keeping series, this is an addendum to Part III.
I mentioned that I wasn’t able to bring in team names in my Excel pivot tables for my leaderboards. I worked with it a bit more and Eureka!.
The trick is to enable Classic PivotTable layout. As shown here:
To me, my leaderboard looks so much better with team identifiers for each player.
On a slightly related note, looking at the Strikeout leaders for about 9 or 10 each NL team, it’s already looking pretty looking realistic with the likes of Koufax, Veale, Marichal in the top ten.
Mays and McCovey are leading in homers while Dick Allen and Donn Clendenon are topping the league in rbis. Big surprise is Tim McCarver who’s pacing the NL at a .480 clip.
When I get to the end of April, I’ll post a more comprehensive report.
Nice work with the pivot table but it probably won’t be necessary to pivot much up at the top of the strikeout leader board with Koufax blazing the way. ’66 being his last year
he wound up with 317. I don’t expect to see too many more changes at the top of the strikeout board from her on out.

Thank you for sharing this series. I play a solitaire version football of another game but have been looking for a way to keep stats other than pencil and calculator.
