One great day

A while back, I posted about how some kind APBA fans had pointed me to kilg.us and its player tracking service.  Well, since then I‘ve been using it and have been getting my Illowa APBA League team players’ stats sent to my inbox every day.

Now while I love the kilg.us service, I haven’t necessarily been in love with the stats themselves.  The pitching has been good in ‘12 but let’s just say my future offense for next year doesn’t have much potential yet.  I can’t blame kilg.us for that, of course (Fire the manager!).

However, the email I got from kilg.us this past Monday morning was sight to behold!

For the day of Sunday, my players hit .393 with 10 rbis in the Majors.  Orlando Hudson, Jason Kipnis and Tyler Colvin (yes, Tyler!) hit homers and contributed three rbis each.  Pujols even got into the action going 2 for 5 with three runs.

But it didn’t stop there.  Even my Twin City Thunderchicken pitchers were phenomenal.

Good starts by Homer Bailey and Jon Niese plus a Chris Perez save saw a fantastic combined effort.  Fourteen Ks in 14 2/3 innings with a combined 1.23 ERA for the day.

Dang, I’d love to see more stats like these.

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
