Leroy Arnoldi wins cross-town championship with 1937 Yanks at TCABT-IV

How do you know an APBA tournament is being held in Minnesota?  Well, with participant names like Nelson, Skogen, Berg, and Lofgren, it’s an a easy guess.

The Neil Ess Memorial Twin Cities APBA Baseball Tournament IV came to a close Saturday when Leroy Arnoldi skippered the 1937 New York Yankees to a sweep to the 1905 New York Giants managed by Jeff Boeding.  Here are the results of the divisional playoffs:

With a total of 23 APBA fans participating, early reports show that everyone seemed to have a great time.  They can thank Jim Fraasch who coordinated the event.

Jim and I corresponded a bit before the event and he told me there were a few hiccups with a few last minute dropouts.  It looks like Jim handled everything just fine.  The photos I have seen look like everyone was having a great time.

Jeff Boeding came close to repeating the success that the 1905 New York Giants had in Chicagoland’s second tournament under Scott Fennessey.  To my knowledge, we have had one repeat.  The 1968 Tigers have won twice in two separate Chicagoland tournaments (Bill Lilley and Cale Mannesto).

At this point, no APBA player has won twice and I sort of like that parity.

Congratulations to Leroy Arnoldi for winning the championship and to Jim Fraasch for holding yet another successful tournament!

thanks to Craig Christian for the photo!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

  1. Tom, believe it or not, this was Leroy Arnoldi’s 2nd championship in our 4 TCABT events. He won last October with the ’54 Giants. I will start referring to Leroy as “Mr. October” ;)

  4. Thanks , I have recently been looking for information about
this subject for ages and yours is the best I have discovered so far.
However, what in regards to the conclusion? Are
    you positive about the source?

  5. Aw, this was an exceptionally good post. Finding the time and actual effort to make a good article… but what can I
say… I hesitate a whole lot and never manage to get anything
    done.

  6. Useful information. Lucky me I found your site by accident, and I’m surprised why this twist of fate did not
came about in advance! I bookmarked it.

  7. If you were raised in America, then you unquestionably had
a youth in which you experienced salespeople concerning the door.
How did your moms and dads react to that? What kind of comments
    that they make about salespeople?
The basis for these marketing reward opportunities is
something called consent marketing. Quite just,
authorization marketing suggests that before an advertiser
pounds you with his message, he needs to first ask you well and
state please. When he gets your consent, and only then, he can play
his ad. Because you’re probably not going to approval without getting something out of it, the advertiser will certainly provide you some
sort of incentive for seeing the ad. You get the reward and the advertiser gets his message out.
Everyone is pleased. Almost exactly what it comes down to is that you as the advertising
consumer get a small cut of the marketing earnings.

I have been in this business for awhile and do need to say I have built some great
relationships. These friendships are with a few of the greatest caliber,
smart, and friendly people you will certainly ever meet. I
currently have close friends all over the world that I can talk to on Skype (likewise free) whenever I want.
While you may have a home Internet company, it’s not like burying yourself in a cave
and never ever talking to any individual ever again. My difficulty to you is to go make 30 pals a day and present
yourself, strike up a discussion, and make it count. Act starting now!

Video marketing – Video marketing is probably the most powerful approach of complimentary marketing on the internet.
There are literally hundreds of video sharing websites.
If you shoot a video sharing valuable material and spread it throughout the web you
are visiting a source of never ever ending traffic to your web site.

    Cellular phone have become really attractive as advertising tools likewise;
a recent Harris survey reports that the cell phone use is enhancing
while the traditional landline telephone is quick losing
consumers. The fact is 20 % of the adults in the US do not have a landline.
The same percentage now utilize only mobile phone,
and the number is growing very quick. Additionally,
while cellular phone among the younger generation have been extensively reported, they are likewise becoming popular
among older populations also. For the under 30 crowd, virtually 40 % of them use nothing but
a mobile phone or the internet for interaction. This suggests that over 80 % of your consumers have
    a mobile phone and you can reach them any time 24/7 in your home, at the workplace or on the road;
all you need is an isp and a computer.
Bear in mind, Viral internet marketing Videos
are unpredictable.but that belongs to what makes them so effective!
Take the Old Spice Commercial for example.that went Viral
on YouTube and on Facebook! And why ?? Due to the fact
that it was humorous and initial!! So the common style will
typically either be clever originality, humor or both!
Creativity that is based on the current popular culture– exactly what is popular and huge TODAY!

Or that is so clever and clever that it will then simply BECOME our
    pop culture!!
Now you most likely see where this is going. Whether or not the house owner’s roofing actually
has sustained damage is a moot point. The roof scam artist is going
to state that it has and then proceed to sock the property owner with
a big expense for repair services he didn’t even require, or even worse, that aren’t even in fact performed.

If you scan this rapidly, you will certainly understand the circumstance the author is trying to convey but there are issues
in the way this paragraph is written and, if you check out the whole page, you will certainly find
problems with the connection of the story. The first problem is that,
due to poor building, this paragraph does not really make sense.

For example, one sentence checks out “When there was a knock at the door.”
A comma instead of a stop after “TV” would assist a bit
to making good sense but it would still be an awkward sentence.
Also, I know how a crowd scatters but how does one individual
handle “spreading” on his own? He probably implied “clambering” however the reader must not need
to work to figure out meaning, its part of the author’s task to make the definition clear.
