Deadline for firm commitment and team selection is August 8th, 2015.
Please email me at or send me a message on Facebook with your name, cell phone number and your team. First come, first serve.I will be using pretty much the same setup/rules as the Michigan and Pittsburgh tournaments. I do plan on using the unusual play and error distribution play chart. I am considering advanced fielding, but that is up in the air as of right now. Rules will follow soon.
The Toledo Mud Hens are in town that night. If you are interested in attending, let me know. I can obtain tickets for the game. It would be a fun way to end the day. The Mud Hens stadium is a fantastic place to watch some baseball. I believe tickets would be $15.00.
You can follow the event on the Toledo Glass City APBA Baseball Tournament Facebook page.
Good luck, Ron and have fun everyone!!
Thomas,
Thank you for the article. This will help spread the word of the tourney. I will need to work hard to match the Greater Michigan and Pittsburgh tourneys, which I was fortunate enough to attend this year. I’m currently at 15 managers, but with a couple months to go, am hoping that more will join as their schedules firm up. Thanks again.
Ron
Hi Ron,
Fifteen is actually pretty good number for an initial tournament. Just remember that when Doug and Jim put together the first Chicagoland Tournament, they had five participants. And you know what? They had fun.
That number quickly grew after that.
Good luck!
