Weird Card Wednesday: 1981 Bob Sykes

Like Doug Bair of the same year, 1981 Bob Sykes is pretty duo lateral.  He has two result numbers.  Unlike Bair, one of those is not a 1. In fact, Sykes has a 66-14.

Sykes’ card is full of 13s and 14s.  Specifically, he has twenty 13s and eleven 14s which makes up roughly 86% of his card.  In the last year of his career, the Cardinal reliever batted three times and (no surprise) struck out twice and walked once.

Thanks, Howie Mooney!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
