Jerry Hill thought this 2015 Jordan Pacheco card would be a fun Weird Wednesday card. Look at all the ones in the second column!
Pacheco went 16 for 66 for a .242 batting average for the Diamondbacks. His only extra base hits were two homeruns… but that is probably pretty evident from looking at his APBA card. Pacheco did walk nine times.
Pacheco has one zero at 66. If a dice roller is lucky to hit that 66-0, there are thirty-one juicy ones in the second column. The funny thing is, had Pacheco not walked so much, APBA could have simply given him a 66-1.
There are other oddities with Pacheco’s card. Take the number of 24s. He has eight including a 32-24 and a 43-24. He also has strikeouts in odd spots such as 52-13. Yet for a .242 hitter, Jordan Pacheco’s card still manages a 21-38.
Thanks to Jerry and his son Doug!
If he didn’t have so many GIDPs, the 38 would have been on 61.
Good point, Steve. He also has a fair amount of 14s too.
I ask myself “why even bother going double column? “
Why is his error number at 42 instead of 53? Am I out of date or something?
