3rd Chicagoland APBA Tournament date set for July 19th!

Big news from Jim Saska!  He just emailed me today to let me know that the 3rd Chicagoland APBA Tournament has been scheduled for Saturday, July 19th, 2014.  It will take place at 9:00am at the same location as before, the Woodstock, IL Public Library.

Twenty-two APBA fans participated in the last Chicagoland APBA Tournament in Woodstock on November 16, 2013.  The 1905 New York Giants piloted by APBA Blog writer Scott Fennessy won the tournament championship.  Clark Eichman managing the 1971 Pittsburgh Pirates was the tournament runner-up.

Jim tells me that the rules and eligibility requirements for the 3rd tournament will be coming shortly.  Start looking over teams and practice rolling, everyone!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
