Jonathan Stillwell’s Otters win second OAPBA championship

According to Rod Caborn, the 2018 Orlando APBA League (OAPBA) is now over.   The year was dominated by Altamonte Springs’ Jonathan Stillwell (right) and his Otters.  Helped by Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom, the Otters won both halves of the 2018 season with a combined 50-30 record.

Joey Votto of the Whatevers was named MVP.  Votto narrowly missed winning the Triple Crown.

And of course, Rod Caborn documented the entire 2018 OAPBA season as only he can.  If you have not seen an example of Rod’s work, it is pretty amazing.  His league and replay summaries are incredibly detailed and I bet the OAPBA managers feel lucky to have their history archived like this.

Take a few minutes (maybe more) to read Rod’s 2018 OAPBA Yearbook.

Congratulations to Jonathan Stillwell!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
