And like that, Don George is on to his next replay. He just finished his replay of the 1979 Boston Red Sox who really liked to hit home runs. Aside from that, the replay stats were very similar to the actual numbers.

“Just completed the 1979 Boston Red Sox single team season replay.
In the replay, the Sox matched their actual record exactly, although it took 102 games to match their trend.
The Sox belted 222 home runs in the replay, just two short of the 1961 Yankees replay, but matched the ’61 Yanks 25.5 AB/HR.
The Sox key sluggers were tremendous and as a team batted .300 in the replay versus .283 actual. Sox pitching was very close to form.”
The Red Sox ended up with the win total for Don as they did in real life.
