I totally would watch this if they played APBA…

l watched a few YouTube episodes of Table Talk and found it a rather fun and unique concept idea for a show.  Basically, it gathers a few online personalities together to play a popular tabletop board game and jazzes it up with witty conversation and even throws in hints about the game.

Hosted by Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation who has found new life as an author and web celebrity), Table Top no doubt has a limited commercial appeal among American people.  But I’m sure it has a niche audience that it appeals to.

Watching it, I couldn’t help wonder what it would be like with APBA as the game du jour.  I imagine for most of us, we would find it quite hilarious.  I chose to link the “Settlers of Catan” episode above.  Towards the end, the losers of the game blamed their dice for their loss and virtually burned them.

I thought, “Hmm, we APBA players NEVER blame our dice!”.

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
