True to its name, the Chicagoland Tournament has plenty of representatives from the Windy City. There are three Cubs teams (1908, 1935 and 1987) and two White Sox teams (1919 and 1994). Every team chosen reached first place in real life except for the 1922 Browns, 1961 Tigers, 1977 Twins, 2013 Royals and ahem, my last place 1987 Cubs.
It’s interesting how Mrs. Saska picked the 1993 World Series opponents Toronto and Philadelphia to be in the same division. Careful with Mitch Williams there, Scott!

First time I won’t be facing Tom in the first game of the tournament since I have started coming.
All divisions look tough initially. Any run of bad luck with the dice could be fatal.
I won’t rule your Cub team out as they have the ability to try the Angels of the 80’s “supply side baseball”. Score enough runs and it won’t matter how bad your pitching is.

Don, Feel free to. That was actually coined by I believe Gene Mauch regarding their big run in the 80’s. I forget the exact year, but it was a pretty solid team Reggie, DeCinces, Grich, and Downing, combined with a good but not great staff.
Really thought they should have broken through at least one of those years.
