Tourney organizer Rob Spatz sends this update on this upcoming 2025 Chicagoland Summer APBA Baseball Tournament.
2025 Chicagoland Summer APBA Baseball Tournament
Join us for the 2025 Chicagoland Summer APBA Baseball Tournament on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Am-Vets Post 66, 700 McHenry Road, Wheeling, IL. Doors open at 8 AM, with games starting at 9 AM. The $40 entry fee includes coffee, kringle, snacks, lunch, and prizes. A cash bar will be available.
This year’s theme, “I Wish I Knew You When I Was Young,” features any non-retired team from 1905–1970. Tournament rules include a 4-man rotation, pitchers bat, and relief pitching capped at 2 innings per appearance. Special rules apply to starting pitchers used in relief and split-grade pitchers. New for 2025: when all relief pitchers are used and games enter the 13th inning, all pitchers become a D(W).
We currently have 43 participants and would love for you to join us! Enjoy an optional Friday night gathering and a post-tournament dinner on Saturday for players and family.
Come roll with us in one of the Midwest’s premier APBA tournaments—don’t miss out!
Personally, I will attest to how much fun the Chicagoland tourney is. I’ve attended almost every year and it is a blast.
Here are photos from last year’s affair:
Good luck to all who attend!
Thanks….down to 39, and would love more!
