This is what APBA is all about!

As the APBA Newsletter says, “This is why we play APBA”.

Congratulations to Vincent Cavanaugh! Vincent won the Robert Henry APBA tournament  with the 2018 Los Angeles Dodgers!!

The story behind the Robert Henry tourney is a fantastic and Brian Cavanaugh has done wonders to pass on the game of APBA to the younger generation. It was almost nine years ago when the APBA Company heard how Brian was using APBA to work with the Bridesburg Boys and Girls Club. APBA CEO John Herson helped out by contributing a set of cards.

Thanks to some collaboration at the National APBA Convention, they now play within the Robert Henry tournament. I saw a comment from former B&G member Ian McArdle who reminisced on his time with the Club. Ian is an adult now but still a boy at heart. He also participated in the tourney. In fact, there were three total Bridesburg alums taking part.

Brian Cavanaugh is an APBA Hall of Famer and it is incredibly well-deserved. He is good for the game as well as those around him.

Congratulations, Vincent!!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as a frequent participant of the Chicagoland APBA Tournament. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
